Overview
What are some website color trends that are emerging or have already been implemented. In this blog post, I’ll dive into the emerging trends surrounding color and websites.
What colors should your website use?
Lets brainstorm for a little, what colors can you relate too? I find myself relating colors that you can find in nature, like dark green, the light blue of the sky, and the silky white of clouds. If your designing a website with the goal of selling a hiking backpack, natural colors are a good choice.
Choosing your website’s color should come down to the type of website your making. As mentioned above, it makes sense that a website selling hiking backpacks has a natural color scheme. However, if your selling computers, it might be beneficial to use the 60-30-10 rule. You can have 60% of your colors be white, 30% be dark gray, and 10% will be your call to actions.
Now choosing a color palate can be difficult, so make good use of available resources like coolors.co. For example this is how I would go about designing a blog for a journalist who writes about local attractions.

What are positive color trends currently going on?
At the time of writing this, I see a lot of sites using using a modern color palate. With a modern color palate, it’s going to be easy to work with and very eye catching, which can be good if your trying to convert users. Just remember that certain colors can dictate people’s emotions.
Using colors that influence.
